Zacchaeus - Class Play

Late 1987:

Due to my short stature, I was chosen to play the lead role of "Zacchaeus" (much to my protestation, but to which I subsequently acquiesced!) in the school's annual religious instructions class play. It entailed singing solo in front of the entire school and the parents of classmates, filling the entire hall right to the back! I would later get to visit the more than 2,000-year old Sycamore-fig tree in Jericho in the West Bank on December 28, 2013, said to be the tree that Zacchaeus climbed to get a better view of Jesus as He came through the town nearly 2,000 years ago. (View Pic)
