There are a number of remarkable 'number' coincidences relating to Donald Trump, Israel and the number 7. Could this be by design, or is it mere 'coincidence'? Here are some of the key points:

  • Donald Trump was born exactly 700 days before the founding of Israel on May 14, 1948, (Confirm) and on his first full day in office he was exactly 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old. (Confirm). If you count the day he was born as 'day 1', he was inaugurated on his 70th year, 7th month and 7th day of life. (Confirm) (See the note on calculating time below to see how this was calculated.)
  • He was elected on Prime Minister Netanyahu's 7th year, 7th month and 7th full day in office! (Prime Minister of Israel) Netanyahu was sworn in just before midnight on March 31, 2009, and his first full day in office was April 1, 2009. (Confirm)
  • He even beat Hillary Clinton by 77 votes in the Electoral College because of 7 "faithless" electors. (Two voted against Donald Trump, while five voted against Hillary Clinton, bringing the final tally to 304-227 votes.)
  • Exactly 7 months later from his first full day in office on January 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse occurred - the first since before the nation was formed in 1776 to be seen exclusively in the United States.
  • All these most recent events occurred in the Hebrew year 5777. (Oct 2, 2016 - Sep 20, 2017)
  • On July 7, 2017 (7/7/17), Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin for the first time, face-to-face, when Vladimir Putin was exactly 777 months old to the day, in the Hebrew year 5777 (Confirm). On the 75th anniversary of Israel's independence, Vladimir Putin will turn 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old on May 14, 2023.
  • On July 11, 2018, in the 77th week since Donald Trump's inauguration, he was the 777th richest person in the world, according to Forbes.
  • On Donald Trump's 700th day in office (December 20, 2018), his defense secretary Jim Mattis resigned on the day that Israel turned 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old - (December 21, 2018). He was due to depart exactly 70 days later on February 28, 2019, on Donald Trump's 770th day in office, however this has since been brought forward to January 1, 2019.
  • On President Trump's 777th day since the election on November 8, 2016, Israel announced that they would dissolve Parliament and hold elections 7 months early on April 9, 2019. (November 8, 2016 = day 1 - December 24, 2018 = day 777 - Confirm)
  • On Donald Trump's 770th day in office, Israel's Attorney General announced that Benjamin Netanyahu will be indicted on bribery and fraud charges, pending a hearing. This marks the first time a sitting Prime Minister is facing criminal charges. The announcement comes exactly 40 days before Israel's elections on April 9, 2019.
  • On May 29, 2019, exactly 7 weeks to the day since the initial results of the election became clear, and Benjamin Netanyahu's main rival Benny Gantz, conceded defeat on April 10, Benjamin Netanyahu failed to form a coalition government before the midnight deadline, following a two-week extension. The Israeli Knesset was dissolved in the early hours of Thursday morning, May 30 (Ascension Day). This marks the 40th day of the Omer from the Feast of Firstfruits and Easter Sunday. New elections are now scheduled to be held on September 17, 2019. This marks the first time in Israel's history that new elections have been called without forming a Government first.
  • Mark Esper is sworn is as the new U.S. secretary of defense, exactly 7 months to the day that Donald Trump brought forward James Mattis's departure to January 1, 2019. (Dec 23, 2018 - Jul 23, 2019) Read more...
  • The Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump began on January 21, 2020, exactly three years to the day from his first full day in office when he was 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old. He was 73 years, 7 months and 7 days old on the first day of his trial. Exactly 7 weeks to the day since the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach him on December 18, 2019, Donald Trump was acquitted in the Senate on February 5, 2020.

  • On April 20, 2020, an agreement was signed between Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz to form a national emergency government, exactly 7 weeks to the day since Israel's election on March 2nd.

  • On November 7, 2020, exactly 7 weeks to the day since Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets on September 19, Joe Biden became President-elect of the United States. This came exactly 48 years to the day that he was first elected to the Senate in 1972. For the full update, click here: Joe Biden becomes President-elect

  • Exactly 49 weeks after Donald Trump was acquitted in the Senate from his first impeachment trial on February 5, 2020, he was impeached again on January 13, 2021, for "incitement of insurrection".

What does this mean for America, Israel and the World? Find out my answers below.

"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are." - 1 Corinthians 1:27-28

"And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth." - Exodus 9:16

A Note About Calculating Time:

There are two main ways of calculating time elapsed on this page. The first is 'time elapsed', meaning from Sunday to Sunday, exactly 7 days has passed. The second is 'numbering the days'. For example, the first Sunday = day 1, and the following Sunday = day 8, even though only one week has elapsed. Both are legitimate ways of counting a period of time, but just expressed in a different manner. The latter includes a day, whereas the former does not. For example, Donald Trump was born on Friday, June 14, 1946, and inaugurated on Friday, January 20, 2017. This means that on the 70th year, 7th month and 7th day of his life, he was inaugurated as president, counting June 14 as day one, and June 15 as day two, etc (Confirm). However, using the other counting method, he was 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old on his first FULL DAY in office on January 21, 2017 (Confirm). A difference of one day. So depending on what counting method you choose, you will get different results.

There is a biblical example for this counting method. In Leviticus 23:15-16, God instructs the Jews to count 7 weeks from Sunday to Sunday, but number 50 days. This is the length of time between the Feast of Firstfruits and Pentecost, or the Feast of Weeks. So counting the first Sunday as day one, and the last Sunday as day 50, exactly 7 weeks or 49 days has passed. This is known as the "Counting of the Omer".

Introduction:

I wrote this article on August the 29th, 2017 (7th of Elul, 5777), exactly one week after the Great American Eclipse of August 21 (August 22, New Zealand time). As it turned out, that was exactly 120 years to the day since the first Zionist Congress of 1897, held in Basel, Switzerland that led to the creation of Israel exactly 50 years and 3 months later to the day on November 29, 1947 in the United Nations!

I don't believe that that was a coincidence! For more, see "How This Article Came About", in the main section below, or click here.

Updates:

Update: December 6, 2017: Since writing this article, Donald Trump announced on December 6, 2017, that the US will recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and will shift the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This comes 70 years and 7 days after the United Nations approved a resolution which paved the way for the creation of the state of Israel on November 29, 1947. Update: 24 Feb, 2018: Embassy to move to Jerusalem on 70th Anniversary of Israel's Independence on May 14, 1948

The city of Jerusalem is inextricably tied to the number 70 in the Bible, so it is interesting that the U.S. administration has decided to open their embassy in Jerusalem on the 70th anniversary of Israel's founding in 1948. The book of Daniel has an important prophecy regarding Israel and Jerusalem;

"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy." - Daniel 9:24

Also in Daniel 9:2, Daniel realised that the Jewish people would be held in captivity by the King of Babylon for 70 years:

"In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem."

In addition, in 70 A.D., the city of Jerusalem and the second temple were destroyed by the Romans, to put down a Jewish revolt against Roman rule. Jesus himself predicted this would happen in Luke 19:44;

"And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."

Ironically, (or more likely by the Hand of God) I wrote a tweet the day after Donald Trump's victory on November 9, 2016, (Nov 10, NZ time) wondering whether he would recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. It turned out to be my 70th Tweet! I already knew what I was going to write about before I sat down at my computer, and that's when I noted that I had already written 69 Tweets!

However, it is not just Israel that is celebrating its 70th anniversary since its founding in 1948. Both North and South Korea were established in 1948, and will celebrate their 70th anniversary in September and August respectively.

Given recent events on the Korean peninsula, it looks like Donald Trump's rise to power was more ordained than ever, at a very important time in human history.

May 24, 2018: On the 70 week mark since Donald Trump's inauguration (day 490), the planned summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un has been cancelled by Donald Trump.

Update: April 26, 2018: Mike Pompeo is sworn is as the 70th United States Secretary of State.

Update: May 14, 2018: The opening ceremony for the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem started at 4PM, exactly 70 years to the hour that Israel's first would-be Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, stood up to read out the Israeli declaration of Independence on May 14, 1948.

Update: July 12, 2018: On 7/11 (July 11, 2018) in the 77th week since Donald Trump's inauguration, he was the 777th richest person in the world, according to Forbes. Note that if you take the date that this happened and multiply the numbers, you get 7 x 11 = 77, the week of Donald Trump's presidency that this happened in! He wasn't the 777th richest person on either the 12th or 13th of July, ending his 77th week.

Update: August 22, 2018: Exactly one year to the day since the Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017, and exactly 77 days before the mid-term elections, both Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen were convicted or plead guilty to multiple financial crimes. Michael Cohen also plead guilty to violating campaign finance laws.

Paul Manafort was Donald Trump's campaign chairman for two months leading up to the 2016 election, and Michael Cohen was Donald Trump's personal lawyer for many years. What this means - if anything - for Donald Trump, remains to be seen.

Update: December 4, 2018: Exactly four months to the day that NATO will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its founding on 4/4/19, the United States announced that it has given Russia 60 days notice to comply with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, or the U.S. will leave.

Update: December 20, 2018: Donald Trump's defense secretary Jim Mattis resigns over Trump's Middle East policy, on the day that Israel turns 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old (The announcement of his resignation came at 12:21am on 12/21 - December 21, Israeli time). Both Donald Trump and Jim Mattis were sworn in on January 20, 2017, meaning his resignation came on the 700th day since their swearing in (January 20, 2017 = day 1 - December 20, 2018 = day 700). Mattis will depart on February 28, 2019, exactly 70 days from the announcement of his resignation. February 28, 2019 will be the 770th day of Donald Trump's presidency, and presumably, the first day in office for the new Secretary of Defense. Update: On December 23rd, 2018, President Trump brought forward the date of Jim Mattis's departure, with the new acting Secretary of Defense, Patrick Shanahan to begin on January 1, 2019.

Update: December 24, 2018: On day 777 since Donald Trump's election victory (November 8, 2016 = day 1 - December 24, 2018 = day 777 - Confirm) Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu announces that the Knesset will be dissolved, and early elections will be held in April - roughly 7 months before their term was due to end in November 2019.

Update: February 1, 2019: The U.S. confirms that it will suspend the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia on February 2, 2019, giving them 6 months to comply or the U.S. will pull out completely.

Update: February 20, 2019: Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, is due to testify to the Senate Intelligence Committee on February 26, publicly to the House Oversight Committee on February 27 (day 769 of Trump's presidency), and to the House Intelligence Committee on February 28.

Update: February 28, 2019: Israel's Attorney General announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be indicted on bribery and fraud charges, pending a hearing. This comes on Donald Trump's 770th day in office, and exactly 40 days before Israel's general election on April 9.

Update: March 21, 2019: On the Jewish holiday of "Purim", at 12:50 P.M. EDT, Donald Trump Tweeted out that it is time to recognise Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, captured off Syria during the Six-Day War in 1967.

Update: April 10, 2019: Benjamin Netanyahu wins Israel's general election, and is on track for a record fifth term in office, and his fourth consecutive term since 2009. He is set to become Israel's longest serving leader, surpassing Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, in July this year. Three days before the election, Benjamin Netanyahu announced that if he was re-elected, he would extend Israeli sovereignty to settlements in the West Bank, including isolated settlements. He also exclaimed that "the next term will be fateful". Benjamin Netanyahu will turn 70 years old on October 21 this year.

Update: April 18, 2019: Special Counsel Mueller's redacted report is released to the public with mixed results. While it found no evidence of collusion with Russia (the basis for the report), it also could not conclude that there was evidence for obstruction of justice. All in all, a win for President Trump. Despite all the attacks on President Trump by Democrats, it just goes to show you that if God wants you to be president, you will be president for as long as God wants you to be, in order that God's will is done. He will often weaken the opposition at the same time, to ensure that the person He wants to be elected, is elected. Hillary Clinton was probably the worst candidate that the Democrats could have fielded, and yet maybe the only Democrat that Donald Trump could have beaten! Had Joe Biden run at the last election, he may well have won the election; however, his time may well have passed.

Update: May 5, 2019: The White House announces that it is sending an aircraft carrier and bombers to the Middle East, in response to indications of an attack by Iran on U.S. interests.

Update: May 14, 2019: On the 71st anniversary of Israel's independence in 1948, Donald Trump denies reports that there is a plan to send up to 120,000 troops to the Middle East, in the event that Iran attacks U.S. forces or accelerates their development of nuclear weapons. Note: I felt God prompt me to add this update, for whatever reason. Whether anything will come of it, who knows! There may be an alternate reason for doing so. God Bless. Update: May 16, 2019: Donald Trump is reported to have become frustrated with the perception that his 70-year-old National Security Advisor, John Bolton, is driving him to war with Iran. Interestingly, John Bolton, born November 20, 1948, assumed office as Donald Trump's National Security Advisor exactly one year to the day before Israel's general election on April 9, 2019.

Update: May 29, 2019: Benjamin Netanyahu had until midnight on May 29, 2019, to form a coalition, exactly 7 weeks to the day that the initial results of the election became known on April 10, and Benjamin Netanyahu's main rival, Benny Gantz, conceded defeat. This followed a two-week extension to form a coalition. New elections are now scheduled to be held on September 17, this year. The Knesset was dissolved early on Thursday morning, May 30 - Ascension Day - the 40th day from the Feast of Firstfruits/Easter Sunday. Benjamin Netanyahu failed to form a coalition with a majority of 61 seats in the 120-seat Knesset, marking the first time that Israel has gone to new elections without forming a Government first. Incidentally, those dates, April 10 and May 29, are the exact same dates that God inspired me to visit Israel for the first time in the Hebrew year 5770 (2010). He inspired me to visit Israel on April 10, 2010, and I left for Israel exactly 7 weeks later to the day on May 29, unbeknownst to me at the time! More on that in my new book, "Proving God with Numbers". Also, incidentally, my personal website was launched on April 9, 2013, exactly 6 years to the day to Israel's elections this year.

God has now inspired another trip to Israel from September 23 - October 10, 2019. This happened around four-and-a-half hours after Iran shot down a U.S. drone over the Strait of Hormuz on June 20. You can read more about that here.

Update: July 23, 2019: Boris Johnson wins the Conservative Party leadership vote, and is set to become Britain's 77th Prime Minister on the 24th of July. Also on the 23rd of July, Mark Esper is sworn in as the new U.S. Secretary of Defense after James Mattis resigned over 7 months earlier. He was the 23rd U.S. Secretary of the Army until becoming the new secretary of defense on July 23. This comes exactly 7 months to the day since Donald Trump brought forward James Mattis's departure to January 1, 2019, on December 23, 2018. This marks the longest time that the U.S. has been without a Senate-confirmed Secretary of Defense in their history.

Update: September 11, 2019: On September 10, 2019, Donald Trump announced that he had fired his National Security Advisor, John Bolton, citing disagreements with many of his suggestions. John Bolton disputes this, saying that he offered to resign the day before on September 9 - exactly 17 months to the day that he assumed office on April 9, 2018. Also on September 10, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that if he was re-elected on September 17, he would extend Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and Northern Dead Sea, in addition to annexing Jewish settlements within the West Bank.

Update: October 21, 2019: Following the Israeli elections on September 17 this year, Benjamin Netanyahu was given the task of forming a government by President Reuven Rivlin. On Benjamin Netanyahu's 70th birthday, he returned the mandate to the president after the Simchat Torah/Shemini Atzeret holiday had ended. Also known as the "eighth day of assembly" in Leviticus 23:36-39. The former IDF chief Benny Gantz will now receive the mandate to try and form a new government. If he fails, and no one else is given the task, then Israel will head to their third elections within a year!

Update: November 21, 2019: Israel's attorney general announces that Benjamin Netanyahu will be charged with bribery, fraud and breach of trust charges in the cases against him. This marks the first time in Israel's history that a sitting Prime Minister is facing criminal charges. The announcement comes exactly one month to the day since Benjamin Netanyahu's 70th birthday, and the day he handed back the mandate to President Rivlin to form a government after the 8th day of assembly had ended. Only one day earlier, Netanyahu's main rival, Benny Gantz, handed back the mandate to President Rivlin, informing him that he too could not form a government. If no one can form a government in the next 21 days, then Israel will likely be heading for their third elections within a year in March next year.

Update: December 2, 2019: Israel's Attorney General releases an updated 77-page indictment against Benjamin Netanyahu, listing 333 prosecution witnesses in the case against him. He has also given him 30 days to decide whether he will seek immunity from prosecution.

Update: December 18, 2019: Donald Trump is impeached by the House of Representatives on two articles of impeachment; abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Given that God installs and removes leaders, the Democrats attempt to remove Donald Trump will likely fail in the Senate. They will have to wait until it is their time again to have a president. If someone was born to lead, then they will be president, however, if not, then they won't. As Jeremy Corbyn said in a recent speech to U.K. Labour party supporters; "I was not born to rule". How right he was! He was not born to lead, but Boris Johnson was, and so was Donald J. Trump, and every other world leader we have had to date. I did predict that our current Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, would become Prime Minister, even before she became deputy leader of her party, then leader, and ultimately Prime Minister. So, some people are born to lead, and other's aren't. That's just the way it goes. Who will be president at the next U.S. election will not be up to Congress nor even the voters, but to God Himself!

"he removeth kings, and setteth up kings" - Daniel 2:21

Update: December 26, 2019: Benjamin Netanyahu wins his party leadership vote against challenger Gideon Sa'ar, meaning he will most likely lead his Likud party into the third elections in under a year on March 2nd, 2020. He won with 72.5% of the vote. A couple of hours before the polls were due to close, I decided to flip a coin in the spirit of 'casting lots' to see who would be the winner. I chose 'heads' for Benjamin Netanyahu, and 'tails' for Gideon Sa'ar. It came up heads for Netanyahu. About four hours later, he claimed victory in the party leadership race!

Update: January 3, 2020: President Donald Trump orders a strike on the leader of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' "Quds Force", Qasem Soleimani, who is killed in the strike. About 3,000 additional U.S. troops are now on their way to the Middle East, to boost troop numbers in the region. Back in May 2019, God gave me very strong inspiration to put up an update about Donald Trump denying a plan to send up to 120,000 troops to the Middle East in the event that Iran attacked U.S. forces or interests in the region. This came on the 71st anniversary of Israel's independence on May 14, 2019. Whether anything further will come of it, only time will tell! Here is the update I made in May: May 14, 2019

Update: January 15, 2020: The U.S. House of Representatives sent the articles of impeachment through to the Senate, after a four week delay. Due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday falling on Monday, January 20, the trial will begin on Tuesday, January 21, exactly three years to the day since Donald Trump's first full day in office when he was 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old.

Update: January 28, 2020: Both Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz meet separately with Donald Trump to discuss his Middle East peace plan on Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan 27). The following day, Benjamin Netanyahu drops his immunity request from prosecution, and is indicted later that same day, exactly 11 months to the day since Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit announced that he would be indicted, pending a hearing. Later that same day, Donald Trump announces his Middle East peace plan, allowing Israel to annex settlements within the West Bank and the Jordan Valley.

Update: February 5, 2020: Exactly 7 weeks to the day since the House voted to impeach Donald Trump, the Senate acquitted him of all charges.

Update: March 26, 2020: Following Israel's third election in under a year on March 2nd, a unity deal between Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party and Benny Gantz's Blue & White Party appears to be on the cards for Israel. This would mean a unity government between the two major opposition parties, whereby Benny Gantz would become Prime Minister in September 2021 on a rotation deal with Benjamin Netanyahu. Benny Gantz's Blue & White Party subsequently collapsed, and he was voted temporary Speaker of the Knesset on Thursday evening. This all came about on the 1st of Nisan - the first day of the Hebrew religious year in the Bible. See Exodus 12:2: "This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you." The Feast of Passover begins 13 days later on the 14th of Nisan (15th in Israel). The 1st of Nisan is also known as the "New Year for kings and festivals", in that a king's years of reign are counted from this date. It also sets the order of the feasts, starting with Passover.

Update: April 20, 2020: Exactly 7 weeks to the day since Israel's general election on March 2nd, a coalition agreement was signed between Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, and Benny Gantz's Blue & White party. This brings to an end a political stalemate that lasted since December 24, 2018, when Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he was going to dissolve the Knesset. That was day 777 of Donald Trump's presidency. It is exactly 69 weeks since that date. They will now form a "national emergency government" to combat the coronavirus, and Benny Gantz will become prime minister after 18 months. Incidentally, the first government of Israel was formed on my birthday on March 8, 1949, albeit nearly 30 years earlier! The April 2020 agreement was signed on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) in Israel. It is also the anniversary of Adolf Hitler's birthday.

April 20 is day 1260 since Donald Trump's election victory on November 8, 2016 (confirm) - a very biblical number regarding the 3.5 year tribulation period, also defined as 42 months, 1260 days, or a "time, times and half a time". (Using 360-day years) See Revelation 11:2-3 and 12:6. The book of Daniel has a 70-week prophecy, stating that the Messiah will be cut off after 69 weeks (483 years using one day for a year) See Daniel 9:24-26. The 70th week represents the final 7 years of this age, and the final 3.5 years of that is known as the Great Tribulation, which is also described as lasting 1260 days. So from December 24, 2018 until April 20, 2020, is exactly 69 weeks or 483 days. Here is a simple timeline that helps explain things: View Timeline

July 2, 2020 will be day 1260 since Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2017, and this is one day after Benjamin Netanyahu can bring forward a bill to annex parts of the West Bank, under the agreement with Benny Gantz signed on April 20. The U.S. has given tacit approval for Israel to annex parts of the West Bank, something that probably wouldn't have happened under any other president, other than Donald Trump.

Interestingly, July 4 will be day 1,335 since Donald Trump's election victory. July 4 is American Independence Day. While it may not point towards anything, there is a prophecy in Daniel 12:12 that says, "Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days." This is 75 days on top of the 1,260 days previously mentioned.

Update: July 4, 2020: On day 1,335 since Donald Trump was elected, rapper Kanye West announced that he was running for President of the United States on American Independence Day. See the note on 1,335 days in the previous update above. Whether he goes through with it, and whether it has any impact on the 2020 election, remains to be seen!

Update: August 13, 2020: Donald Trump announced that Israel and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to fully normalise relations with each other, only the third Arab country to have a peace agreement with Israel. Israel has agreed to temporarily suspend annexation of parts of the West Bank, in exchange for the peace deal.

Donald Trump's election probably spurred the greatest upheaval in American politics in centuries!

Regardless of what you think about him or his politics, he has caused a great deal of soul searching amongst voters, political commentators and pundits, and anyone with a passing interest in politics in general. For those of us like me who see the rise and fall of political leaders as the divine will of God, we see things from a different perspective.

While I never thought Hillary Clinton would become President - even before she announced she was going to run, I didn't foresee the rise of Donald Trump!

As a New Zealander, I probably have a different perspective on things being so far away from U.S. national politics and the mood of the nation, however, some things remain the same and transcend national borders and boundaries, colour, race or creed. We are all under God, and God is sovereign over mankind and the world.

For those who don't believe in God, that will be a hard statement to accept! Nevertheless, I refer to the testimony of the ancient Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar when he said;

"This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men." - Daniel 4:17

To be clear, I am not calling Donald Trump, "the basest of men", however, in this one statement, God is letting every one of us know that He rules in the kingdom of men, and sets up whomever he wants over it. It took the King seven years living like an animal in a bout of insanity to come to this realisation!

Of course to some, quoting ancient texts from the Bible will never be enough, and quite honestly will be discarded as no more than fairy tales and fantasy, meant for children and the weak and feeble minded among us.

Jesus did however say, "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." - Mark 10:15

Nonetheless, faith is a unique and individual journey for everyone, and every one of us comes to it in a unique and different way. If we come to it at all. Not every one will find their faith in God or come to the truth. And there are different reasons for that. We must all find our own way to God and the truth!

Coming back to the original topic of this article, I would now like to draw upon some interesting codes, numbers or signs as they relate to Donald Trump, Israel, and the number seven.

I have written a little bit about the number 7 on this site, and let people know how I believe God has used it to mark or demonstrate his presence or divinely guiding hand in certain events in my life, to show that it was Him behind it. Most recently it was in a series of trips to Israel in which he used the number seven to try and prove that it was Him behind it - although I knew it anyway, it is a way of providing tangible evidence or proof to back up my claims!

So it is with that idea in mind that I present the following 'evidence' to you:

  • On Donald Trump's first full day in office he was exactly 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old. (Confirm). If you count the day he was born as 'day 1', he was inaugurated on his 70th year, 7th month and 7th day of life. (Confirm) (See the note on calculating time above to see how this was calculated.)

  • Exactly 7 months later on August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse occurred - the first since the nation was founded to be seen exclusively in the United States.

  • He beat Hillary Clinton in the Electoral College voting system by 77 votes because of 7 "faithless" electors. (Two voted against Donald Trump, while five voted against Hillary Clinton, bringing the final tally to 304-227 votes.)

  • He was born exactly 700 days prior to the re-founding of Israel on May 14, 1948. Next year will be the 70th anniversary of Israel's founding.

  • On top of that, he was elected on Benjamin Netanyahu's (Prime Minister of Israel) 7th year, 7th month, and 7th day in office! Netanyahu was sworn in for the second time just before midnight on March 31, 2009 - purportedly to avoid being labelled an "April Fools" Government - and had his first full day in office on April 1, 2009. (April 1, 2009 - November 8, 2016)

  • This all happened in the Hebrew year, 5777. (Oct 2, 2016 - Sep 20, 2017)

  • On July 7, 2017 (7/7/17), Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin for the first time, face-to-face, when Vladimir Putin was exactly 777 months old to the day, in the Hebrew year 5777.

  • On the day that Israel turned 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old (12:21am - December 21, Israeli time), Donald Trump announced that his defense secretary Jim Mattis had resigned on his and President Trump's 700th day in office (December 20, 2018). (January 20, 2017 = day 1, December 20, 2018 = day 700) His resignation came exactly 70 days before his departure on February 28, 2019. February 28, 2019 will be the 770th day of Donald Trump's presidency, and presumably the first day on the job for the new Secretary of Defense. Update: Since this announcement, Donald Trump has brought forward the departure of General Mattis by two months, with the new acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan to begin on January 1, 2019.

  • On President Trump's 777th day since the election on November 8, 2016, Israel announced that they would dissolve Parliament and hold elections 7 months early on April 9, 2019. (November 8, 2016 = day 1 - December 24, 2018 = day 777 - Confirm)

  • On February 28, 2019, (Donald Trump's 770th day in office), Israel's Attorney General announced that Benjamin Netanyahu will be indicted on bribery and fraud charges, pending a hearing. This marks the first time a sitting Prime Minister is facing criminal charges. The announcement comes exactly 40 days before Israel's elections on April 9, 2019.

  • On May 29, 2019, exactly 7 weeks to the day since the initial results of the election became clear, and Benjamin Netanyahu's main rival, Benny Gantz, conceded defeat on April 10, Benjamin Netanyahu failed to form a coalition government before the midnight deadline, following a two-week extension.

(Dec 23, 2018 - Jul 23, 2019)

Now you might say, that is all just happenstance and 'coincidence', and you are just fitting the numbers to create a good story, and there is an argument for that. However, it could also be that God has divinely aligned all these events to leave us with a sign or code to be unravelled, to let us know that He is indeed sovereign over mankind and the world, and these numbers were put there to be discovered.

As Proverbs 25:2 says;

"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."

What this could actually mean for America, Israel and the world remains unclear, it could be nothing, and it could be a sign that God is in control, or it could be a portend of future events with regards to America and/or Israel, or neither!

It is up to you what to believe in and whether to accept these numbers as signs, or just mere coincidence and number fitting.

Nevertheless, I think it provides an interesting enough question to ponder over.

Only time itself will reveal the true meaning behind these events!

God Bless.

Addendum: 20 April, 2018 / 5 Iyyar, 5778:

Having had time to reflect upon the numbers and signs written in the article above, I have come to the following conclusion. It is clear that Donald Trump was meant to be President of the United States - not Hillary Clinton. Today marks 70 years since the establishment of the Jewish State of Israel on the Hebrew Calendar. Next month on May 14, 2018, it will mark 70 years since the signing of the declaration of independence on the Gregorian calendar. Regardless of what happens during the Trump presidency, we can be sure of one thing. This is all part of God's plan.

I think these numbers are a way of God showing us that He is in control, and that no matter what happens, it is all a part of His plan.

That plan will ultimately end in the second coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the world. Amen.

Important Dates in Israel's Modern History:

August 29-31, 1897: The first Zionist congress was held in Basel, Switzerland, to call for the establishment of a Jewish State in Palestine. Theodor Herzl, convenor of the first Zionist congress stated in his diaries; "At Basel, I founded the Jewish State. If I said this out loud today I would be answered by universal laughter. If not in 5 years, then certainly in 50. Everyone will know it". 50 years and 3 months later to the day from the opening of the first Zionist Congress, the UN voted to create the state of Israel.

Editor's Note: It is interesting to note that the Jewish Jubilee year is held every 50 years, and, according to Leviticus 25:10, all property is to be returned to its original owner. Is this not what occurred on November 29, 1947, in the United Nations?

November 2, 1917: Balfour Declaration. UK's foreign secretary Arthur Balfour writes a letter to Lord Rothschild, expressing the UK's support for a Jewish State in Palestine.

December 9, 1917: Jerusalem captured by General Allenby from the Turkish Ottoman empire during WWI.

November 29, 1947: The United Nations approves and adopts a resolution to partition Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab, thereby creating the State of Israel. The vote was passed by exactly 33 votes on the 333rd day of the year.

May 14, 1948: Israel's soon-to-be first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, declares Israel's independence.

June 5-10, 1967: Six-Day War. Israel captures East Jerusalem including the Old City and the West Bank off Jordan.

December 6, 2017: President Trump recognises Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, 70 years after the UN vote to create it.

How This Article Came About:

In late February 2017, my sister told me about how Donald Trump was 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old on his first full day in office. I found that quite intriguing, but didn't look any further. Six months later on August 20, 2017, while lying in bed, it suddenly struck me that the "Great American Eclipse" of August 21, would occur exactly 7 months on from this date!

I then discovered a whole lot more 'coincidences' relating to Donald Trump and the number 7 which other people had discovered. While out walking on August 29, a week after the eclipse, I was inspired to write this article. In early January 2018 when I was adding the "Important Dates in Israel's Modern History" section above, I noticed that the day that God had inspired me to write this article, was the same day as the opening of the first Zionist Congress in 1897! In fact, it was exactly 120 years to the day! I don't believe that that was a coincidence. That Congress led to the creation of the State of Israel 50 years later.

Is there any significance to the 120 year number? The bible makes several references to the number 120, most notably in Genesis 6:3 and Deuteronomy 34:7. Genesis 6:3 is interpreted by some to mean that God gave mankind an additional 120 years before the divinely appointed judgement of Noah's flood. The latter reference refers to the age of Moses when he died at 120 years old. Moses was one of the greatest prophets in Judaism, and is revered by Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. There are a number of other references to the number 120 which can be found here.

It is also interesting to note that the destruction of Jerusalem and the second temple occurred on August 30, 70 A.D., coinciding with the second day of the first Zionist Congress in 1897, 1827 years later! Whether that was done on purpose or not I am unsure, but it would certainly be a symbolic and significant date on which to hold the event.

Conclusion:

Having watched President Trump's rise and fall from power from the beginning of his election campaign in 2015, through to his loss at the 2020 election, one thing is clear: God is in control! It doesn't matter whether you voted for Donald Trump or not, or whether you like him, but it is clear from the numbers, that God intended him to be president. It wasn't a mistake, as some might like to think! He was there for a purpose and a role, both domestic and foreign, to achieve God's purposes!

Some of his achievements included recognising Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel, moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, recognising the Golan Heights as Israeli territory, and brokering peace agreements in the Middle East between Israel and Arab countries. You may not agree with all these moves, but God installed President Trump to power for a reason, and those are just some of them.

It appears from the preciseness of the numbers that accompanied Donald Trump's presidency, that these were there for one reason: to prove that God was the power behind Donald Trump's presidency, and to show that He was in control! God was always in control, and had a purpose and a reason for installing Donald Trump to power. God had a plan, and it was accomplished according to His will, even when things went a little awry.

It remains to be seen what happens in America post-Donald Trump, and what sort of long-lasting legacy he had on both domestic and international politics. No doubt America is divided, and it would appear to be more of a spiritual/cultural war that is leading to the division. Those on the left of politics, vs. those on the right. As Jesus said, 'a house divided against itself shall not stand' - Matthew 12:25. The further the liberal left shifts away from the centre, the more divided a country shall become. The shift away from Christian values is what is causing the problems in many Western societies, and the further they go down this path, the worse they will become. This is happening the world over. Whether a society remains harmonious or not, depends on the willingness of its people to fight for their values, or whether they just roll over and accept changes. Some cultures fight for their values, others do not. Nevertheless, you cannot impose your will or values on other people, if they don't accept them.

As Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight..." - John 18:36. You have to live and let live, and yet be the "salt of the earth" - Matthew 5:13. American power, culture and influence is on the decline, and this appears to be going hand-in-hand with it's spiritual and moral decline as well. Many Western nations are already on this path, not just America.

Though you may not have liked Donald Trump's personality, his politics represented a temporary pause on left-wing values. This is no doubt why many Christians voted for him, and part of the reason God put him into power. What many people see as "progressivism", is in actual fact, "regressivism", in other people's eyes. It just depends on your viewpoint, and that appears to be what is at the root-cause of the division, and ever-growing divide. And it only appears set to get worse. This seems inevitable.

Now, with a new president set to take power, it appears that God is continuing to use numbers to prove that He is in control, and was the power behind Joe Biden's presidential win. (For the full update on Joe Biden's election victory, click here: Joe Biden wins November 2020 election).

Thus, regardless who is elected or what happens in life, know one thing: God is in control, and won't allow anything to happen that He doesn't want to happen, because He has total control over world events. You may not like what happens or who is elected, but it is all a part of God's plan, and it will ultimately lead to the Second Coming of Christ, as prophesied in the Holy Scriptures.

God Bless.

P.S. Incidentally, my younger brother Tim was killed on Donald Trump's 63rd Birthday on June 14, 2009. That means he was killed exactly 7 years, 7 months and 7 days before President Trump's first full day in office - see the tweet below.
